Health departments have issued alerts in various parts of Asia, including Hong Kong and Singapore. In Hong Kong, the number of confirmed COVID cases through testing has surpassed last year’s figures. As of May 3, 31 people have been reported to be in critical condition due to the illness. Consequently, COVID-related deaths have also increased. In Singapore, another densely populated Asian city, there has also been a rise in COVID cases. International media report that COVID cases have been increasing across Asia over the past few months. Health experts recommend high-risk individuals to take booster doses against COVID.
