During the House of Select Coronavirus Pandemic Subcommittee hearing on Wednesday, Dr. Robert Redfield, former director of the CDC told the Senate that, «the Coronavirus was more likely a result of an accidental lab leak than a result of a natural spillover event.»
Quoting his initial findings, Redfield said, «This finding is based primarily on the biology of the virus itself, including its high infectivity for human-to-human transmission and the rapid evolution of new variants, as well as on the «unusual actions» that occurred in or around Wuhan in 2019.»
